Satay is a traditional Malaysian dish. Thin slices of meat (chicken, lamb or beef) are marinated and then grilled, barbecued or pan-fried and served warm with shallots, cucumbers or rice cakes and dipped in a specific satay sauce. Our Ayam Satay Marinade makes the meat tendered and flavoured and helps to make an elaborate and authentic Malaysian dish in a few minutes. What makes Malaysian Cuisine so well appreciated by western palates? Certainly its tangy and aromatic recipes, less spicy than Indian or Thai food, resulting from the combination of Indonesia, Portuguese, Chinese, Thai, Indian and British influences.

How to make a great Satay (For 4-6 people)
You will need: 1 Jar of Ayam Satay Marinade 185g, 1 Jar of Ayam Satay Sauce 220g, 750g of either lamb, beef or chicken, sliced cucumber (optional).
1. Thinly slice lamb, beef or chicken to saute or cut into small cubes if barbecuing or grilling.
2. Coat the meat generously with the Ayam Satay Marinade and leave for at least 20 minutes (stored in the fridge overnight is best).
3. Brown the meat in a wok ensuring it is cooked properly.
4. Heat the Ayam Satay Sauce in a pan for 1-2 minutes then transfer to a bowl for dipping.
5. Serve warm accompanied by slices of cucumber.

Do not reheat after cooking and use all sauces after opening
