Although there are myriad varieties of wild and indigenous rice on earth only Thai Hom Mali rice (otherwise known as Jasmine Rice) is renowned for its unparalleled quality. Yet only the fortunate few know that there are only 2 genuine varieties. Dork Mali 105 and Gor Khor 15.
Unlike other voluminous varieties the two can be cultivated only once a year and best yet in the salty desert of the lower North Eastern plain of Thailand. The land's unique soil provides abundant minerals that make the rice soft, aromatic and flavoursome. This is why Thai Hom Mali rice is most sought after by faithful gastronomists around the world.

Cooking your Spoon & Spoon Rice
1. Rinse 1 cup of rice thoroughly a few times and drain.
2. Combine rice and 1.2-1.5 cups of fresh water in a rice cooker.
3. Cover the rice cooker and start the cook mode. Do not list the cover while cooking.
4. When the rice cooker switches to warm mode, leave the cooked rice covered for 10 minutes. Fluff and serve while steaming hot for maximum aroma and softness.

Cooking Tricks
- Adjust amount of water according to your preference. Less water for a firmer serve, more water for a softer serve.
- If the bag is labelled NEW CROP, less water is recommended as NEW CROP rice naturally contains high moisture which will result in a very soft cooking texture.

Storing your Spoon & Spoon Rice
- Do not expose rice to high humidity and/or excessive heat.
- Rice is best kept in a cool (20C) and dry condition.
- Leftover cooked rice should be allowed to cool before being wrapped and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
