Dried Shiitake Mushrooms are full of flavour and make any oriental dish that extra bit special. In Chinese cuisine, they are often sauteed in vegetarian dishes such as Buddha's delight. In Japan, they are served in miso soup, used as the basis for a kind of vegetarian dashi, and also as an ingredient in many steamed and simmered dishes. In Korean cuisine, they are commonly used in dishes such as bulgogi (marinated grilled beef), jigae (stews) and namul (sauteed vegetable dishes). In Thailand, they may be served either fried or steamed.

Cooking Instructions: Rinse, then soak for 30 minutes in warm water. Drain, keep the soaking water for stock. Finely slice or cook in whole.
Use for seasoning, sukiyaki, deep fried foods, stir fried foods, barbecues, stew and soup stock etc.
Caution: Do not eat raw. Re-hydrate in warm water before use or soak in cold water overnight to re-hydrate before use.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place. Once opened, place in an air-tight container and consume within 1 month.
