Stir fry Sweet and Sour Spice Paste with battered meat, fish or seafood to create an all time favourite dish that is popular in most Chinese restaurants.

Cantonese Sweet and Sour Meat or Seafood Serves 4
1 packet Asian home Gourmet Cantonese Sweet and Sour Stir Fry SpicePaste
350g seafood, fish or meat, cut into bite sized pieces
2-3 tbsp corn or wheat flour
60g frozen mixed vegetables, thawed before use or sliced bell peppers
1 tin (454g) pineapple chunks (reserve 1/2 cup (110ml) juice and use 200g pineapple chunks)
Vegetable oil for frying

1. Dust meat or seafood with flour and pan-fry until cooked. Set aside
2. Mix spice paste with pineapple juice; bring to a boil for 2 minutes
3. Stir in mixed vegetables or bell peppers and pineapples; simmer for 3 minutes. Add cooked meat or seafood and stir well. Serve hot with rice.

Variations: Alternative recipe for making batter
Coat meat or seafood with 1 egg and put it in a plastic bag with 1/2 cup (125g) corn or wheat flour and 1/2 tsp salt. Shake bag to coat meat or seafood evenly. Pan fry or deep fry until cooked. Set aside. Follow steps 2 & 3 above.

Store in cool, dry place.
