Description:Black beans are made by fermenting soybeans with salt. Black bean sauce is pungent and salty and is perfect with beef, chicken or seafood.

Beef in Black Bean Sauce (Serves 4)
Thinly slice 350g / 12oz beef steak, marinate with 1 tsp sugar, 1 tbsp Amoy Light Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp Chinese rice wine and 1 tsp cornflour for 30 minutes. Fry 1 small cubed onion in about 3 tbsp oil until opaque, add the beef and 1 small cubed green pepper with 2 tbsp Amoy Black Bean Sauce, stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes. Serve hot with 1-2 chopped red or green chillies. Ensure fully cooked before serving.

Once opened, refrigerate and use within one month.
