Description:This famous Indonesian charcoal-grilled kebab appears on menus from San Francisco to Amsterdam. The secret of tender, succulent satay is, of course, in the rich, spicy-sweet marinade.

Idonesian Satay serves 4
1 packet Indonesian Satay Meat Marinade
450g (1 lb) boneless chicken, lamb, beef, cut into 2cm (1") cubes
2 tbsp vegetable oil

1. Marinate the meat with marinade and oil. cover and leave for at least 2 hours.

2. Thread meat onto wooden skewers

3. To charchoal/electril grill: Grill for 8 - 10 minutes. Brush at least twice with remaining marinade. Turn occasionally.

Variations: You can create a truly gourmet dish by serving a sachet or Asian Home Gourmet Indonesian peanut sauce as a dip with the satay skewers.

Cooking tips: Soak wooden skewers in waterfor 30 minutes before use to prevent them burning. you may place meat in a plastic bag and put marinade mixture over it. Close bag securely, turning to coat. Leave to marinate for at least 2 hours. For more flavour meat, refrigerate overnight.
Ingredients:Onion, sugar, soya sauce (soyabean, wheat flour, salt, sugar), lemongrass, galangal, salt, garlic, coriander seed, cumin ground turmeric, soyabean oil.
